OFFICIAL RULES & REGULATIONS 2012 SODUS POINT LODGE POLAR Ice Fishing Tournament

Registration: $10.00 Per Person

Check-In: ALL REGISTERED ENTRANTS MUST CHECK-IN PRIOR TO FISHING. During check-in, entrants will pick up additional information and literature. Early check-in is recommended and can be done at the SODUS POINT LODGE.

Registered Anglers: Only official registered anglers may win prizes. Unregistered anglers in your party may jeopardize the validity of fish caught by a registered angler. Contest entrants must catch their own fish. All fish must be caught within THE TRIBUTARY OF SODUS BAY.

THERE WILL BE NO FISHING BEFORE 6 AM ON CONTEST DAYS. Again, all fish must be fresh caught. No frozen fish, no bleached gills.

UPON WEIGH IN, fish must meet MINIMUM weight requirements. Pike must be no less than 5 pounds, perch must be no less than 10 oz. and it is each individual's responsibility to meet these requirements.

ALL rules will be strictly enforced and violators will be disqualified.

Department of Wildlife: All NEW YORK STATE fishing rules apply. Those age 16 years or older require a NEW YORK State fishing license. A violation of any NEW YORK STATE fishing regulation is automatic disqualification for the entire tournament.

Official Fish Measurement: ALL WEIGHT WILL BE TALLIED TO DETERMINE THE WINNER OF EACH ROUND AND TOTALED FOR THE FINALE DAY. There will be several judges roaming the ice for your convenience.

WHEN YOU REGISTER, PLEASE GIVE THE REGISTRANTS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. Some sponsors may elect to post standings and results.

Fish must be caught and weighed between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday the 19th or 6:00 AM to 1:00 P.M Sunday the 20th. Ties will be broken by fish length and then by earliest weigh-in. Awards ceremony will begin at 3 P.M. on Sunday the 20th.

Fish at your own Risk: The Sodus Point Lodge and participating merchants and sponsors claim no responsibility for accidents or injuries on the ice, on Sodus bay, or during transportation to or from the tournament, and the surrounding area of Sodus Point or Sodus Bay.

Agree to Accept these Rules: By entering the 2012 SODUS POINT POLAR FISHING TOURNAMENT and signing the Official Registration form, you agree to comply with, but not limited to, all tournament rules and regulations as well as NEW YORK STATE fishing regulations and SAFETY RULES.
